We are pleased to announce that we have successfully completed testing all Sale Animals and are publishing the results here.
You’ll see that we have all Negative results – good news! – except that some of the semen samples failed to produce a result in the CL-16 test – probably due to unforeseen lag times in shipping the samples. It’s important to note, however, that with only one carrier of CL-16 identified in over 200 tested animals, it is extremely unlikely that tests will result in carrier status. But we want to be certain, so we have re-sent all samples to EMAI for further testing. In addition, we have left those “NR” CL-16 animals in the sale, and we will guarantee them.
For further data on these conditions, we encourage you to check out the results that the Australian Wagyu Association posted of genetic tests they just completed of the most influential Wagyu sires in their herd. To download the PDF of their report, click here.
