Grilled Wagyu Burger with New Mexico Green Chiles Recipe
 
Add a Southwest kick to your burger! Roasted green chiles, hallmark of New Mexican cuisine, is balanced perfectly with the nutty, sweet flavor of the Emmental cheese. These simple ingredients will take your BBQ to the next level of delicious.
 
 
Lone Mountain Wagyu Burger with New Mexico Green Chilis
Serves 4
 
Ingredients: 
 
Directions 
  1. Heat grill to high heat. Char chiles over direct flame until blackened all over, 8-10 minutes.
  2. Transfer chiles to a bowl and cover. Set aside to let steam for 5 minutes.
  3. Peel, stem, and seed chiles, then coarsely shred and transfer to a medium bowl. Add oil, cumin, and salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine and set aside. 
  4. Season patties to taste with salt and pepper (if using Ground Beef, form into half pound patties).
  5. Grill directly over medium-high heat with the lid closed, 2 minutes per side for rare, 2 1/2 minutes per side for medium rare. Just before burgers are done, divide cheese between patties, cover grill, and cook until melted. 
  6. To assemble burgers, place a patty on each bun half, to with some of the green chiles. Add tops of buns and serve.
